Developed in 1935 in response to the A-1 Flight Jacket, which was a style of blouson worn by USAAC (United States Army Air Corps) pilots between the years of 1927 and 1931, our beloved Valstarino jacket is renowned for being an icon of design that faithfully upholds the Made in Italy tradition of craftsmanship. Due to the timeless silhouette, it allows us to experiment with leathers and fabrics and this season have selected this earthy brown Prince of Wales check from the historic British mill Abraham Moon & Sons, which was founded in 1837. Due to the earthy tones and classic pattern, it gives our Valstarino a sports jacket look and feel. It’s lined in our house check, which is inspired by a vintage jacket we discovered in Japan from the 1960s, and is lightly padded for warmth. As always, it has a five real horn button front, inverted pleat patch pockets and a wool-blend ribbing. Whether dressed up and treated like a tailored jacket, or down with denim jeans and knitwear, it’s an incredibly versatile option for this season.

Minimizing our environmental impact is a top priority at Valstar, we are constantly working to try and improve the sustainability of our products and packaging.
All of our boxes and bags are totally recyclable and made of 100% recycled materials. All the cards and envelopes that we use are from sustainable, FSC-certified papers. The garment covers are 100% natural cotton. Our boxes travel by folding flat to ease transportation which significantly reduces their carbon footprint.
