Padded Valstarino

Developed in 1935 in response to the A-1 Flight Jacket, which was a style of blouson worn by USAAC (United States Army Air Corps) pilots between the years of 1927 and 1931, our beloved Valstarino jacket is renowned for being an icon of design that faithfully upholds the Made in Italy tradition of craftsmanship. Offered in a goat suede that’s tanned in Tuscany and hand-picked by our leather experts to ensure there are no imperfections or irregularities in quality, it has the optimal level of softness and elasticity with a wonderfully luxurious handle. Then, to keep you warm on the coldest of winter days, it has a goose down padded lining. In terms of the design, it’s faithful to the originals with a five buttons front, inverted pleat patch pockets and a wool-blend ribbing. By updating the style through elevated materials, considered design and true craftsmanship, our homage to the A-1 jacket becomes much more rarefied and stylish, and due to the versatile and timeless silhouette, it can be worn in many ways and will last a lifetime if properly cared for. If you prefer a roomier fit, we suggest you take one size up due to the goose down lining.

Minimizing our environmental impact is a top priority at Valstar, we are constantly working to try and improve the sustainability of our products and packaging. All of our boxes and bags are totally recyclable and made of 100% recycled materials. All the cards and envelopes that we use are from sustainable, FSC-certified papers. The garment covers are 100% natural cotton. Our boxes travel by folding flat to ease transportation which significantly reduces their carbon footprint.
