Field Jackets are one of those must-have pieces of outerwear as they’re incredibly functional, useful and versatile. This season, we’ve drawn inspiration from a vintage Canadian MK-II field jacket in our archive and have made it from a bonded wool flannel woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico, which is an esteemed mill that’s currently helmed by the six-generation of the founding family. This fabric gives the jacket a soft handle and makes it impressively resistant to water and wind. Plus, with the addition of an eco-friendly quilted lining, it’s extremely warm. In terms of the details, it has four large pockets on the front with a single button closure to secure your essentials, drawstring waist, a hood that can be rolled and concealed, a two-way zip, and adjustable cuffs. Whether worn in the city or country, it’s smart and elegant and will perform in the most extreme conditions.
