Originally developed in 1935 as a response to the A-1 Flight Jacket—worn by USAAC (United States Army Air Corps) pilots between 1927 and 1931—our iconic Valstarino jacket is celebrated for its timeless design and dedication to Italian craftsmanship. Traditionally crafted from goat suede tanned in Tuscany, this season we’ve elevated the Valstarino to new heights with the introduction of luxurious grained leather (also sourced from Tuscany), making it one of the most opulent examples in the Valstar catalogue. This rich, textured leather not only enhances the jacket’s durability but also adds a layer of sophistication and refinement. The classic design elements, including the five-button front , inverted pleat patch pockets, and wool-blend ribbing, are all retained, but the grained leather transforms the Valstarino into a truly distinguished piece.
